Coeur Alaska, Inc.'s Kensington Mine is an underground, hard rock gold mine located 45 miles north-northwest of Juneau, Alaska, in the Berners Bay Mining District. In 2019, Kensington reached the milestone of over one million ounces of gold produced and celebrated its tenth full year of production on July 3, 2020. With approximately 400 employees, Coeur Alaska is the second largest private employer in the City and Borough of Juneau.
