Strongbow Exploration Inc. Sept. 1 reported that Richard Williams has been appointed president and CEO of the company, replacing Kenneth Armstrong who stepped down from the position.

Armstrong will remain a director of Strongbow.

Williams serves as CEO of Helio Resource Corp., an exploration company with projects in Tanzania and Namibia.

He has spent the past 12 years in public company corporate management, and has developed a wide network of business and financial contacts that will be beneficial to the growth of Strongbow.

Strongbow also announced the addition of John Burzynski to its board of directors.

Burzynski is the president and CEO of Oban Mining Corp., a company that recently acquired three Canada junior exploration companies.

He is also the senior vice-president, new business development and director with Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd., which owns 19.9 percent of Oban's shares.

Burzynski has more than 25 years of experience as a professional geologist on international mining and development projects, including work from acquisition to production on Canadian Malartic.

He was one of the three founding members of Osisko Mining Corp. John was a co-winner of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada's "Prospector of the Year Award" for 2007.

Strongbow recently completed the acquisition of the Coal Creek and Sleitat tin projects in Alaska as well as a C$1 million private placement financing.

As a result of these transactions, Osisko Gold Royalties is now the company's largest shareholder, controlling 27.3 percent of the issued and outstanding share capital of Strongbow.
