Golden Predator Mining Corp. Jan. 10 said results from 42 reverse circulation holes drilled last year continue to confirm high-grade gold mineralization and near surface bulk tonnage type mineralization at the Diamonds, Clubs and Lower Hearts zones on the company's 3 Aces Project in southeastern Yukon.

Highlighted intercepts from these holes include 2.29 meters of 35.72 grams per metric ton gold from a depth of 5.33 meters in hole 3A17-287, drilled in the Lower Hearts zone; 0.76 meter of 10.15 g/t gold from a depth of 35.05 meters in hole 3A17-250, drilled at Queen of Clubs; and 1.53 meters of 5.86 g/t gold from a depth of 47.24 meters in 3A17-251, drilled in the Diamonds zone.

Overall, 30 of the 42 holes drilled across the central core area of the 3 Aces property cut anomalous to high-grade gold mineralization. Golden Predator said high-grade quartz veins continue to be encountered along with an increasing abundance of disseminated and stockwork occurrences. These two types of mineralization are integral to the company's conceptual geological model.

The Hearts-Club corridor is currently defined as a 1,600-meter structural zone with upper and lower northwest trending shear zones extending from the Ace of Hearts to the Ten of Clubs. The 2017 drilling along this corridor was designed to test and establish continuity along shear zones hosting gold-in-quartz veins. A second lower parallel shear zone, within the Hearts-Clubs Corridor was also established and confirmed with visible gold along a 450-meter segment. Drilling planned for this year will test the a 1,200-meter projected extension of the corridor to the northwest.

Despite the difficult drilling conditions caused by intense fracturing and shearing encountered in several areas, Golden Predator said drilling has continued to confirm high-grade gold mineralization and near surface bulk tonnage type mineralization.

"We are pleased to see mineralization continuing in all zones tested across the central core area and encouraged by the structural intensity of the shear zone which displays continuity along the western and northern portions of the Clubs-Hearts corridor," said Golden Predator CEO Janet Lee-Sheriff.

This year, the company will be employing core drilling across the 3 Aces Project to better address the structural conditions inherent to the Hearts-Clubs Corridor and expand its focus on deeper drill targets.

"Structurally complex and intensely fractured rock are excellent hosts for gold mineralization and we look forward to drilling the corridor with diamond core in 2018," Sheriff added.
