GT Gold taps high-grade silver at Saddle

The 2017 drilling at GT Gold's Saddle South discovery in northwestern British Columbia encountered both high-grade gold and silver.

GT Gold Corp. Jan. 15 published results from the final six holes from the 2017 drill program at its Saddle South gold-silver discovery on the company's Tatogga property, including one hole that cut very high-grade silver along with the high-grade gold common at Saddle South.

Highlights from these holes include: 4 meters of 23.78 grams per metric ton gold and 65.87 g/t silver from a depth of 150.2 meters in hole TTD056; and 3 meters of 31.79 g/t gold and 1,410.1 g/t silver from a depth of 41.17 meters in hole TTD058.

TTD056 and TTD058 were among four holes that targeted visible gossan – intensely oxidized rock typically found at the top of a mineralized deposit – on the west slope of the Saddle South ridge.

The 2017 discovery drill program at Saddle included 16,180 meters of core drilling in 64 holes and 1,527 meters of reverse circulation drilling in 28 holes. This drilling traced the high-grade gold discovery at Saddle South for more than 1,000 meters and discovered porphyry copper-gold-silver mineralization at Saddle North, a target about 500 meters to the north.

"We've delivered two entirely new discoveries which confirm the Saddle system is rich and extensive – high grade epithermal gold-silver at both Saddle South and North, and porphyry-style copper-gold-silver at Saddle North, east end. Both discoveries warrant aggressive follow-up, and we are formulating plans for what promises to be a successful 2018 exploration program."
