Hole FK18-10, drilled at the Boundary North zone of Aben's Forrest Kerr property cut four high-grade gold zones, including a one-meter section that averaged 331 grams per metric ton gold.

Aben Resources Ltd. Aug. 9 said the first 2018 hole drilled at its Forrest Kerr property in British Columbia's Golden Triangle cut multiple zones of high-grade gold

Collared in the North Boundary zone, where drilling late in the 2017 season discovered strong precious and base metal mineralization, hole FK18-10, cut four high-grade zones: 13 meters of 3.9 grams per metric ton gold, 4 g/t silver and 0.62 percent copper from 61 meters; 4 meters of 22 g/t gold, 22.4 g/t silver and 0.17 percent copper from 84 meters; 10 meters of 38.7 g/t gold, 2.9 g/t silver, 0.09 percent copper from 114 meters; and six meter of 8.2 g/t gold, 1.4 g/t gold and 0.11 percent copper from 183 meters.

"The high-grade gold and base metal values in the first hole of the 2018 drill program have far exceeded our expectations and confirm the presence of a robust and strong mineralizing system at the recently discovered North Boundary zone," said Aben Resources President and CEO Jim Pettit.

A one-meter interval of 331 g/t gold encountered at 118 meters in FK18-10 is about 230 meters north of a 326 g/t Au interval reported by Noranda in 1991. High-grade intercepts are generally found in narrow and discrete zones of moderate mineralization within a broad envelope of lower grade mineralization.

"We are now looking at an area that extends 230 meters south to the historic high-grade Noranda drill hole from 1991 and although the geology is complex we believe more drilling will delineate additional high-grade mineralization," said Pettit. "The target areas in and around the Boundary Zone are relatively shallow and continue to provide strong discovery potential as we look to value-add the project using a systematic exploration methodology."

Aben has completed eight holes at the North Boundary zone so far this year, assays are pending on the remaining seven.

Given the results from the first hole and visual indicators in the others, the company is putting together plans to expand its 2018 drill program at Forrest Kerr.

"The presence of multiple mineralized zones associated with mesothermal veining and adjacent to major structural breaks is very encouraging, said Aben Resources Chairman Ron Netolitzky. "Close proximity to infrastructure will facilitate ongoing exploration."
