White Gold Corp. Dec. 10 reported results from additional drilling and sampling at Vertigo that continues to expand the footprint of this intriguing gold exploration target on the JP Ross property in Yukon's White Gold District.

On Dec. 6, White Gold Corp. published results from JPRVERRC18-013, a reverse circulation hole that cut 6.1 meters averaging 18.59 grams per metric ton gold and 188.8 g/t silver from a depth of 24.38 meters; and 4.57 meters of 6.82 g/t gold from 44.2 meters. This hole extended Vertigo gold mineralization previously encountered with rotary air blast drilling to depth.

The latest batch from RC drilling at Vertigo included JPRVERRC18-014, a hole drilled 140 meters northeast of RC18-013. RC18-014 cut 1.52 meters of 18.6 g/t gold from a depth of 41.15 meters. White Gold Corp. said the mineralization intersected in this hole is associated with a previously untested structure along the Vertigo trend inferred from geologic mapping and geophysical surveys on the target.

JPRVERRC18-016, drilled 300 meters north of any previous holes, cut 9.14 meters averaging 9.19 g/t gold from a depth of 54.86 meters, including 4.58 meters of 17.2 g/t gold from 54.86 meters, ending in mineralization.

JPRVERRC18-017, drilled 226 meters west-northwest of RC8-016, a hole that cut 1.52 meters of 1.17 g/t gold from 3.05 meters and 3.05 meters of 1.6 g/t gold from 21.34 meters, with numerous anomalous samples in between. White Gold Corp. said it is currently unclear if the mineralization in this area is associated with the same structural trend intersected in hole RC8-016 or if it represents a new structural trend.

In addition to the gold targets tapped with the RC drill, surface sampling has identified new zones of high-grade gold mineralization in the areas surrounding the Vertigo target, further expanding the footprint of the high-grade mineralized system to 2,200 by 650 meters, as well as on other targets along a structural trend that extends at least 18 kilometers (11 miles) across the JP Ross property.

One of the most promising finds made with this sampling is a new 180-meter-wide undrilled area on the Vertigo target approximately 300 meters west of JPRVERRC18-009, a hole reported in November that cut 6.1 meters of 14.23 g/t gold from surface. A trend of 24 samples collected from this area averaged 10.1 g/t gold, with individual samples returning grades as high as 58.4 g/t gold. This area continues 400 meters further west from where samples of similar material returned results of up to 8.10 g/t gold.

"The structural zones that host high-grade mineralization on the Vertigo are showing strong continuity in both strike extent and mineral tenor, and highlight the potential for expansion of the known mineralization and additional new discoveries in the area," said White Gold Corp. Vice President of Exploration Jodie Gibson.

The company also sampled Topaz target, a series of northeast trending gold-in-soil anomalies about 1,100 meters south of the Vertigo target. New prospecting samples from the Topaz area returned results from trace to 2.79 g/t gold and are associated with alteration and mineralization similar to Vertigo. White Gold Corp. is assessing the results and plans to follow on this target with GT Probe sampling, geophysical surveys and RC drilling in 2019.

White Gold Corp. also completed follow-up sampling at Suspicion, a target about 4,000 meters southeast of Vertigo where previously reported samples returned up to 41.8 g/t gold. New prospecting samples from the Suspicion area returned results from trace to 105 g/t gold. The most significant results were collected along the southern end of the Suspicion target, where seven samples associated with elevated silver-lead-bismuth returned grades greater than 1 g/t gold.

"The prospecting results from Suspicion and Topaz are comparable to those originally found at Vertigo and we believe there is strong potential for these targets to host similar mineralization," said Gibson. "The wide-spread distribution of high-grade material found in the area is among the most impressive in the Yukon and this is unfolding as a large-scale gold system which is just beginning to be uncovered. We look forward to receiving the remainder of the results from Vertigo and the surrounding targets and planning a comprehensive drill program to expand on this success."
