Pebble Limited Partnership

A state of Alaska issued land use permit allows the Pebble Partnership to carry out reclamation from past drilling at the world-class Pebble copper-gold-molybdenum project in the Bristol Bay Region of Southwest Alaska.

Alaska Department of Natural Resources Dec. 28 posted a notice that it has extended the Pebble Limited Partnership's existing miscellaneous land use permit by 90 days, to March 31. This extension will allow the company to continue care, maintenance and reclamation of exploration activities on the Pebble copper-gold-molybdenum property in Southwest Alaska while DNR Division of Mining, Land & Water reviews the application for a 2019 miscellaneous land use permit.

Pebble Partnership submitted the extension request on Dec. 13, which was distributed to permitting agencies and public noticed on the State of Alaska Online Public Notice System for a period of 14 days.

Nunamta Aulukestai, a non-profit group opposed to Pebble and challenged the validity of past miscellaneous land use permit issued for the project, was also notified of the extension request.

Pebble Partnership's amendment request, however, garnered no comments and the extension for the permit needed for continued care, maintenance and reclamation was approved.
