A drill tests the gold- and copper-rich NE Extension along the McLymont fault on Enduro Metals' Newmont Lake project in Northwest British Columbia.

Enduro Metals Corp. (formerly Crystal Lake Mining) Oct. 21 reported high-grade gold and copper in the first batch of results from its drilling along the McLymont fault on its 648-square-kilometer (246 square miles) Newmont Lake project in British Columbia's Golden Triangle.

Much of this year's drilling targeted the northeast extension of NW Zone, an area along the McLymont fault that hosts 1.4 million metric tons of historical resource containing 6.79 million pounds of copper, 200,000 oz gold, and 291,000 oz silver.

One 2019 hole drilled in the newly discovered NE Extension, NW19-12, cut 188 meters averaging 1.1 grams per metric ton gold, 1.15 g/t silver, and 0.09% copper, including 44.03 meters of 4.03 g/t gold, 4.06 g/t silver, and 0.29% copper.

NW20-09, drilled 160 meters northeast of this intercept, was selected for rushed assay due to the volume of visible gold observed.

This hole cut 28.3 meters averaging 10.03 g/t gold and 0.36% copper from a depth of 144.1 meters, including 8.9 meters averaging 31.09 g/t gold and 1.07% copper from 159.9 meters.

The high-grade intercept in hole NW20-09 included a 0.55-meter section averaging 225.3 g/t gold and 4.9% copper.

"This discovery within the NE Extension is highly significant because of striking similarities to mineralization at the Snip deposit located approximately 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) southwest directly along the regional trend," said Enduro Metals CEO Cole Evans. "Further, mineralization in NW20-09 is distinctly different from the skarn mineralization we see at the NW Zone and elsewhere in the NE Extension. This relates back to our current models of three gold mineralization styles and how important these concepts are in understanding the McLymont area."

In addition to drilling at NE Extension, Enduro completed drilling at Ken, a zone along the McLymont fault that is about 3,000 meters northeast of NW Zone.

McLymont Fault is one of four target areas on the 638-square-kilometer (246 square miles) Newmont Lake project.

Enduro reports that drill crews have demobilized for the winter season, and the company is developing plans for winter infrastructure and operational improvements.

"Now that field crews have demobilized, we are focused on amalgamating our work from 2020 to create what we believe will be a revolutionary new way to look at the entire Newmont Lake area that may have greater implications for the Golden Triangle as a whole," said Evans.
