Banyan's AurMac property in the Yukon hosts a rapidly expanding gold resource close to infrastructure.

Banyan Gold Corp. Dec. 7 announced results from this year's exploration drilling at the Aurex Hill zone on the company's AurMac property in the Yukon.

"Results from 17 holes of the 2021 Aurex Hill campaign, combined with historic intercepts, significantly increases the mineralization footprint of Aurex Hill," said Banyan Gold President and CEO Tara Christie. "The zone represents a large untested target area with the potential to define additional near-surface, potentially heap leach developable, gold resources."

Assay highlights from the 2021 Aurex Hill target include:

13.7 meters of 0.59 grams per metric ton gold from surface in hole DDH AX-21-116.

17.8 meters of 0.81 g/t gold from 121.9 meters in DDH AX-21-116.

71.6 meters of 0.36 g/t gold from 196.6 meters in DDH AX-21-117.

43.9 meters of 0.52 g/t gold from 118 meters in DDH AX-21-118.

13.8 meters of 0.66 g/t gold from 9.1 meters in DDH AX-21-119.

89.2 meters of 0.35 g/t gold from 164.6 meters in DDH AX-21-120.

34.4 meters of 0.53 g/t gold from 37.2 meters in DDH AX-21-121.

46 meters of 0.41 g/t gold from 62.8 meters in DDH AX-21-123.

24.2 meters of 0.57 g/t gold from 195.1 meters in DDH AX-21-125.

41.2 meters of 0.54 g/t gold from 187.4 meters in DDH AX-21-127.

Banyan says these results from this year's diamond drill holes are consistent with previous exploration drilling campaigns at Aurex Hill.

Drilled in a 100-meter step-out grid fashion, these holes focused on defining and expanding upon gold mineralization tapped in 2017 and 2020 reconnaissance drill holes that demonstrated a potential connection between Aurex Hill and the Powerline gold deposit to the west.

Aurex Hill's gold mineralization is hosted within an extensive sheeted quartz-arsenopyrite vein system. The areal extent of this consistent gold mineralization and the coincident large-scale gold-in-soil anomalies demonstrates the potential for Aurex Hill to add measurably to the mineral resource catalog of AurMac, alongside Airstrip and quickly expanding Powerline gold deposits.

To date, the Aurex Hill zone remains largely untested with significant growth potential and will be a focus of additional exploration in 2022.
