Blue Star's 2021 drilling cut 8.15 meters averaging 20.8 g/t gold in a newly discovered vein system near the Gnu deposit on the company's Ulu property in Nunavut.

With a mix of traditional exploration and the data processing power offered by artificial intelligence, Blue Star Gold Corp. is seeking to unlock the high-grade gold potential across its 160 square kilometers (61.8 square miles) of highly prospective and underexplored mineral properties in the High Lake Greenstone Belt in Nunavut.

The company's three projects– Ulu, Hood River, and Roma – cover more than 40 high-grade gold occurrences over a 50-kilometer (31 miles) stretch of the High Lake Greenstone Belt.

"The extent of the high-grade gold showings and the presence of different styles of gold mineralization throughout our projects present Blue Star with multiple opportunities for new discovery and resource growth," said Blue Star Gold CEO Grant Ewing.

The Ulu property has historically been the target of significant exploration and development by BHP Minerals, Echo Bay Mines, and others. The past work includes roughly 97,820 meters of drilling and 1,700 meters of underground development.

According to a 2015 calculation, the Flood and Gnu zones on the Ulu property host 2.5 million metric tons of measured and indicated resources averaging 7.53 grams per metric ton (605,000 ounces) gold; and 1.26 million metric tons of inferred resource grading 5.57 g/t (226,000 oz) gold.

The larger Hood River property hosts 22 known gold occurrences and is prospective for shear-hosted gold mineralization similar to the Flood zone, which hosts the bulk of the resource on the adjacent Ulu property.

During 2021, Blue Star completed 5,012 meters of drilling testing 11 targets in six zones. Most of this drilling tested targets in the area of the Flood zone gold deposit, as well as along the Ulu fold hinge that extends roughly 5,000 meters north to the North Fold Nose (NFN) zone on the adjacent Hood River property.

While assays from this drilling were slow to return from assay labs, the results were impressive. Highlights from early results from Flood zone drilling include 4.91 meters averaging 19.1 g/t gold; seven meters averaging 6.9 g/t; and 2.64 meters averaging 13 g/t gold.

Highlights from the early assays from drilling at Gnu, which lies about 750 meters north of Flood, include 8.15 meters averaging 20.8 g/t gold in a newly discovered vein system.

In addition to drilling, Blue Star engaged GoldSpot Discoveries Corp. to apply its proprietary machine learning to analyze geophysical, geochemical, and geological data in order to generate drill targets in unexplored areas of its expansive properties, especially Hood River and Roma.

"With the assistance of GoldSpot, Blue Star's team expects to elevate more targets to drill-ready status and increase the number of targets in our developing pipeline," said Ewing.
