Nugget camp serves as the headquarters for Victoria Gold's roughly 25,000 meters of exploration drilling focused largely on expanding the 1-million-ounce gold resource at Raven.

Inaugural resource for 2nd largest intrusion at Dublin Gulch

Victoria Gold Corp. Sept. 15 reported 1.07 million ounces of gold in a maiden inferred resource for the Raven deposit about 15 kilometers (nine miles) east of the Eagle Mine on the company's Dublin Gulch property in the Yukon.

Discovered with soil sampling and trenching in 2018, Raven is a large, near-surface gold target associated with Nugget, the second-largest known intrusive body on the Dublin Gulch property.

Trenching in 2018 and 2019 began to reveal Raven's potential to host a large gold deposit that is higher grade than what is currently being mined at Eagle. Highlights from this trenching include 124 meters of 3.51 grams per metric ton, 50 meters of 4.15 g/t gold, and 12 meters of 7.91 g/t gold.

"Raven is a new discovery made by our team in 2018 through geophysics, geochemistry, prospecting, trenching, and drilling along the contact of the Nugget intrusive, 15 kilometers east of Eagle," said Victoria Gold President and CEO John McConnell. "Follow-up exploration was hampered by COVID, yet in three exploration seasons we have identified a significant resource."

At a cut-off grade of 0.5 g/t gold, Raven hosts 19.96 metric tons of pit-constrained inferred mineral resource averaging 1.67 g/t (1.07 million oz) gold.

This mineral resource estimate includes 11,956 assays from 18,217 meters of drilling in 78 diamond drill holes collared between August 2018 and September 2021. Additionally, 55 surface trenches with 3,464 assays and 7,443 meters of sampling were included in this resource estimate.

This also does not factor in the results from the ongoing 2022 drill program at Raven.

This year's program was aimed at 20,000 meters of diamond drilling at Dublin Gulch, as reported back in March. However, the company has blown past that, resulting in the largest exploration program at Dublin Gulch to date.

"In 2022, we have carried out Victoria's largest ever exploration program, with 25,000 meters of drilling planned to expand Raven along strike and at depth," said McConnell.

The current pit-constrained resource at Raven covers a roughly 800- by 350-area at the southern end of the much larger Nugget intrusive. Victoria reports that the 2022 drilling has already extended gold mineralization at Raven 325 meters east of the 1-million-oz resource, indicating significant growth potential for this higher-grade gold deposit at Dublin Gulch.
