Banyan Gold Corp. Oct. 12 reported that the latest batch of assay results shows that its 2022 drilling continues to expand gold mineralization around the Powerline deposit on the company's AurMac property in Yukon, Canada.

Located about 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Victoria Gold Corp.'s Eagle Gold Mine and adjacent to Hecla Mining Company's Keno Hill Silver District, AurMac hosts 3.99 million ounces of gold in the inferred resource category for its three deposits – Powerline, Airstrip, and Aurex Hill.

Banyan's 2022 drilling has been focused on expanding Powerline, which hosts 152 million metric tons of inferred resource averaging 0.59 grams per metric ton gold (2.9 million oz) gold, and Aurex Hill, which hosts 12.5 million metric tons of inferred resource averaging 0.53 g/t (215,000 oz) with the hope of potentially connecting these deposits.

Highlights from the latest batch of assays from this drilling include:

177.9 meters averaging 0.47 g/t from a depth of 24.4 meters in hole DDH AX-22-251, including 27.1 meters of 1.5 g/t gold from a depth of 97.2 meters.

114.1 meters averaging 0.52 g/t gold from a depth of 167.8 meters in DDH AX-22-252, including 30.4 meters averaging 0.69 g/t gold from 206.4 meters, as well as 26.1 meters averaging 1.01 g/t gold from 255.8 meters.

40.5 meters averaging 0.86 g/t gold from a depth of 183 meters in DDH AX-22-22-257.

31.8 meters averaging 1.8 g/t gold from a depth of 56.4 meters in DDH AX-22-258.

28.2 meters averaging 0.89 g/t gold from a depth of 59.8 meters in DDH AX-22-272.

145.8 meters averaging 0.52 g/t gold from surface (12.6 meters) in DDH AX-22-277, including 45.7 meters averaging 0.88 g/t gold from surface (12.6 meters).

"These latest assay results from the ongoing 2022 diamond drill program continue to systematically increase the mineralized footprint with consistent intersections of on/near-surface gold mineralization in and around the Powerline deposit on the AurMac property," said Banyan Gold President and CEO Tara Christie.

Banyan started its 2022 exploration program in January. So far, the company has completed 45,000 meters of drilling in 180 holes focused on expanding and potentially connecting the gold mineralization at the Powerline and Aurex Hill zones.

Approximately 10% of the overall 2022 drilling has been focused on high-priority regional targets on the AurMac property and Nitra property, outside of the Airstrip, Powerline, and Aurex Hill deposits, which will hopefully highlight the larger gold mineralization potential of the AurMac property.

"With four drills currently operating, Banyan remains well positioned to provide a resource update in 2023, after the 2022 assays have been received and the AurMac geological model updated," Christie added.
