Brixton Metals Corp. Jan. 4 reported wide drill intercepts that indicate the growth potential of the Camp Creek porphyry copper target on the company's 2,600-square-kilometer (1,004 square miles) Thorn property in Northern British Columbia.

Situated in Tahltan Territory, about 95 kilometers (60 miles) east of Juneau, Alaska, the district-scale Thorn property hosts large-scale porphyry copper-gold-silver-molybdenum and volcanic-sediment hosted gold-silver targets.

The latest batch of assays is from drilling Camp Creek, a large porphyry target.

Highlights from previous drilling at Camp Creek include:

• 554 meters averaging 0.24% copper, 0.57 grams per metric ton gold, and 43.18 g/t silver in hole THN19-150.

• 976.5 meters averaging 0.22% copper, 0.07 g/t gold, 2.06 g/t silver, and 154.4 parts per million molybdenum in hole THN21-183.

• 821.3 meters averaging 0.24% copper, 0.1 g/t gold, 2.44 g/t silver, and 174.3 ppm molybdenum in hole THN21-184.

• 967.7 meters averaging 0.25% copper, 0.09 g/t gold, 2.39 g/t silver, and 186 ppm molybdenum in hole THN22-201.

The latest batch of Camp Creek results include:

• 709 meters averaging 0.24% copper, 0.06 g/t gold, 2.42 g/t silver, and 140.5 ppm molybdenum from a depth of 534 meters in hole THN22-213.

• 778.1 meters averaging 0.20% copper, 0.06 g/t gold, 2.41 g/t silver, and 145.9 ppm molybdenum from a depth of 519.5 meters in hole THN22-231.

Brixton says these results indicate that the porphyry mineralization could extend under a rhyolite flow-dome (volcanic rock cover) to the east, opening up a roughly 1,000- by 2,000-meter area for expansion of the Camp Creek porphyry.

"We are excited to see the potential scale emerge of the Camp Creek Porphyry Target. The distance between these two reported holes is 420m," said Brixton Metals Chairman and CEO Gary Thompson.

The porphyry potential at Camp Creek and the prospectivity of the wider Thorn property attracted the interest of BHP Group Ltd., which invested C$13.6 million in November to acquire a 19.9% interest in Brixton.

In addition to the financial backing, Brixton is expected to benefit from the porphyry copper system expertise of the world's largest mining company.

Once all the data from the 2022 season is processed, it is expected that Brixton and BHP will convene an inaugural technical meeting to develop the exploration strategy moving forward at Thorn.

Thompson anticipates that "one of the 2023 exploration objectives may be to identify the high-grade copper core of the Camp Creek porphyry and to test the limits of the mineralized system."

During the 2022 season, Brixton completed 18,122 meters of drilling, which included 6,484 meters at Camp Creek and 9,119 meters at Trapper. The program also included sampling and geophysics.
