Drilling initially unearthed a 2,500-meter-long massive sulfide trend enriched with gold, zinc, lead, manganese, copper, silver, germanium, gallium, and indium.

Cantex Mine Development Corp. April 13 announced an update for its North Rackla claim block in Canada's Yukon, reporting results from the latest 21 holes from the company's 2022 drill program.

North Rackla was generated from a 30,000-square-kilometer (11,583 square miles) regional heavy mineral sampling program and was discovered in an area favorable for Carlin-style mineralization similar to ATAC Resources Ltd.'s Osiris deposit in 2010.

During 2022, Cantex tested three regional targets within its North Rackla claim block, one for copper and two for gold.

Drilling from pads MZ55 and MZ55A at the Discovery Sector extended the Main Zone mineralization 50 meters further to the northeast than had been previously identified, extending the Main Zone strike length to 2,350 meters.

Highlights from these pads include:

7.5 meters averaging 24.01 grams per metric ton silver, 6.5% lead, 5.48% zinc, 0.02% copper, and 6.66% manganese from a depth of 63.5 meters in hole YKDD22-262 (MZ55).

4.5 meters averaging 7.29 g/t silver, 1.25% lead, 2.3% zinc, 0.01% copper, and 3.07% manganese from 189.5 meters in YKDD22-269 (MZ55).

1.5 meters averaging 4.49 g/t silver, 0.39% lead, 3% zinc, 0.02% copper, and 0.82% manganese from 197.5 meters in YKDD22-271 (MZ55A).

Drill results have also been received from holes at pads from the Discovery Sector. Significant results from drill pads MZ52, MZ52A, and MZ53A include:

8.25 meters averaging 25.92 g/t silver, 4.41% lead, 5.67% zinc, 0.01% copper, and 3.1% manganese from 154 meters in YKDD22-241 (MZ52A).

1.5 meters averaging 54.36 g/t silver, 7.31% lead, 3.56% zinc, 0.1% copper, and 2.34% manganese from 147.2 meters in YKDD22-247 (MZ52A).

12.5 meters averaging 23.6 g/t silver, 3.08% lead, 4.02% zinc, 0.07% copper, and 1.89% manganese from 164 meters in YKDD22-260 (MZ53A).

8.8 meters averaging 18.74 g/t silver, 2.25% lead, 4.65% zinc, 0.05% copper, and 1.7% manganese from 174.2 meters in YKDD22-253 (MZ53A).

4.1 meters averaging 8.53 g/t silver, 0.51% lead, 4.47% zinc, 0.02% copper, and 1.96% manganese from 228 meters in YKDD22-258 (MZ53A).

Aside from the successful strike length extension of the Main Zone, one of the targets aimed for copper, specifically with one hole returning 2.5 meters of 3.94% copper in hole YKDD22-268.

Cantex also recently announced the newly discovered germanium potential of its properties – you can read about these results at Cantex reports high germanium values in the Feb. 10, 2023 edition of North of 60 Mining News.

The company says that 18 holes remain to be analyzed and will be reported when completed.
