Alaska Native leaders support Ambler Road

Alaska Native drillers test world-class Arctic deposit in the Ambler District.

Many residents from within and around the Ambler Mining District have helped to explore the metals-rich deposits found there and hope that a future road and mines will continue to provide good-paying jobs in this area of Northwest Alaska.

A growing and increasingly vocal group of Alaska Native leaders are joining the 49th State's delegation in Washington DC on pressing the Biden administration to carry out a timely review of the proposed 211-mile road to the Ambler Mining District in Northwest Alaska.
