    Auryn Resources Inc. Sept. 25 said it has completed the acquisition of North Country Gold Corp.   • Innovative exploration at Committee Bay

    North Country Gold Corp. and Auryn Resources Inc. July 8 reported the start of a C$4 million summer exploration program at the Committee Bay gold project in Nunavut. The exploration program will focus on existing drill-ready targets as well as new areas identified through a recently completed prospectivity analysis on the southwest region of the Committee Bay belt.     Auryn Resources Inc. and North Country Gold Corp. June 30 reported that they have entered into a letter agreement for Auryn to acquire North Country. The consideration for all of the North Country shares not already owned by Auryn will be the issuance of about 13.8 million Auryn shares valued at roughly C$20.4 million, based on C$1.48 per Auryn share.     Imperial Metals Corp. Feb. 6 reported that commissioning is underway at the Red Chris gold-copper mine in northwestern British Columbia. The company Feb. 2 received approvals needed to start up the processing plant at Red Chris and began testing the grinding circuit Feb. 3. Mining in both East and Main zones continues, providing a selection of ore styles for mill optimization.
