Strong, consistent gold cut at White Gold

North of 60 Mining News – August 10, 2018

White Gold Corp. Aug. 9 said initial results from the resource expansion and exploration program on its White Gold property in the Yukon have returned some of the strongest and most consistent mineralization intercepts drilled to date on the Golden Saddle deposit.

A resource calculated earlier this year for the White Gold property outlines 12.32 million metric tons of indicated resource averaging 2.43 grams per metric ton gold (961,000 ounces) gold; plus 5.16 million metric tons of inferred resource averaging 1.7 g/t (282,500 oz) gold in the Golden Saddle and Arc deposits.

GS Main, a high-grade core of the primary Golden Saddle deposit area, hosts 11.4 million metric tons of indicated resource averaging 2.52 g/t (925,280 oz) gold and 1.91 million metric tons of open-pit, inferred resource averaging 2.36 g/t (144,000 oz) gold.

A C$9 million exploration program being carried out by White Gold this year is designed to expand on and discover new resources on its flagship White Gold property as well as test several regional targets on its roughly 1-million-acre (390,000 hectares) land package, which represent approximately 40 percent of the White Gold District.

The initial phase of the diamond drilling program was designed to explore previously underexplored portions of the Golden Saddle deposit.

Highlights from the first holes of this program include 32 meters of 6.89 g/t gold from a depth of 171 meters in hole WHTGS18D0176; and 44.9 meters of 4.6 g/t gold from a depth of 219 meters in WHTGS18D0175.

White Gold also reported that WHTGS18D0174 intersected an unexpected eight-meter zone of 1.34 g/t gold above the Golden Saddle Main zone, from a depth of 47 meters, demonstrating the presence of mineralization above the previously defined mineral resource. This hole also cut 40 meters of 3.69 g/t gold starting a depth of 139 meters.

So far this year, the company has completed 10,300 meters of diamond drilling in a total of 31 holes and 2,300 meters of reverse circulation (RC) drilling in 14 holes on the White Gold property. Priority targets have included infill and deep drilling designed to expand the mineralization and gather metallurgical information on the Golden Saddle and Arc deposits, as well as to explore various near surface gold targets along trend of the Golden Saddle.

In addition to the drilling completed on its namesake property, White Gold has completed 70 rotary air blast (RAB) drill holes, 1,383 GT Probe samples, 28.2 line-kilometers of induced polarization geophysical surveys, 2,112 line-kilometers of airborne electromagnetic geophysical surveys and collected 10,310 soil samples from eight other properties – Betty, Hayes, JP Ross, Pedlar, Thor, Pilot, Wells and Black Hills properties – across the wider White Gold District.

"Our 2018 drill program is off to an excellent start with overall production ahead of schedule and all drill crews operating extremely efficiently," said White Gold Corp. CEO David D'Onofrio. "The initial assay results are very encouraging, showing strong continuity of the high-grade deposit. We are looking forward to receiving assays from the rest of the drilling at the Golden Saddle and on our regional exploration targets in due course"
