Drilling validates Willoughby gold, silver

North of 60 Mining News – December 6, 2019

StrikePoint Gold Inc. Dec. 3 announced that drilling continues to cut high-grade gold at its Willoughby project in British Columbia's prolific Golden Triangle.

StrikePoint acquired Willoughby from ArcWest (formerly Sojourn Exploration Inc.) in March for C$85,000 in cash and 3 million StrikePoint shares.

An intrusion related gold-silver project with similarities to Ascot Resources Ltd.'s Red Mountain Mine project about seven kilometers (four miles) to the west, Willoughby is the second Golden Triangle property StrikePoint added to its portfolio in as many years. The other, Porter, is a past producing high-grade silver property on Mount Rainey overlooking the town of Stewart.

Eager to test this newly acquired property, StrikePoint kicked off a drill program aimed at expanding and confirming high-grade historical intercepts at the North and Wilby (formerly referred to as Main) zones.

Previous drilling has cut very high gold and silver grades. Highlights from historic drilling at North include:

• 5.5 meters of 53.2 grams per metric ton gold and 211.1 g/t silver;

• three meters of 113.7 g/t gold and 121.8 g/t silver;

• 2.9 meters of 352.2 g/t gold and 194.6 g/t silver; and

• 3.5 meters of 120.3 g/t gold and 2,434.8 g/t silver.

Earlier this year, Strikepoint reported results from five holes drilled at North. The best intercepts came in hole C19-90, which cut 4.5 meters averaging 3.96 g/t gold and 74.55 g/t silver; and W19-094, which cut four meters of 26.28 g/t gold and 95 g/t silver.

In this latest batch of drill results, W19-097 cut multiple gold- and silver-rich intercepts, including:

• 4.15 meters of 5.29 g/t gold and 34.93 g/t silver from 19.8 meters;

• 1.27 meters of 22.3 g/t gold and 347 g/t silver from 78.99 meters;

• 1.33 meters of 72.2 g/t gold and 55 g/t silver from 91.17 meters; and

• five meters of 4.91 g/t gold and 27.79 g/t silver from 103.14 meters.

Historic drilling has also tapped strong gold and silver mineralization at the Wilby zone.

Highlights of historical intercepts from Wilby include:

• 6.8 meters of 20.45 g/t gold and 42.84 g/t silver;

• 12 meters of 12.66 g/t gold and 59.43 g/t silver; and

• 11.7 meters of 7.62 g/t gold and 1.43 g/t silver.

StrikePoint 2019 drilling encountered strong mineralization at Wilby, including:

• five meters of 4.91 g/t gold and 27.79 g/t silver in hole W19-097;

• 6.37 meters of 2.45 g/t gold and 28.76 g/t silver in W19-098;

• 11.7 meters of 3.87 g/t gold and 3.52 g/t silver in W19-099; and

• 7.02 meters of 3.26 g/t gold and 2.47 g/t silver in W19-100.

"StrikePoint has validated the high-grade nature of gold mineralization, extended the known zones by over 100 meters, developed a strong geological model, and have encountered new high-grade surface mineralization on the margins of newly exposed ice-free areas," said StrikePoint Gold CEO Shawn Khunkhun. "The company now plans to analyze all new information collected through drilling, mapping, and surface and channel samples with the historical work, which includes a database of over 119 diamond drill holes and over 1,300 surface samples in preparation for a drill program in 2020 "
