Notorious JP Ross gold targets expanded

White Gold finds gold at multiple newly discovered zones North of 60 Mining News – January 22, 2021

White Gold Corp. Jan. 21 reports that its 2020 sampling, trenching, drilling program encountered strong gold mineralization at several targets on its adjacent JP Ross and Hen properties in Yukon's White Gold District.

White Gold began its 2020 program with drilling at Titan, an intriguing target on the road accessible Hen property.

Rotary air blast (RAB) drilling carried out late during the 2019 program tapped a bedrock source for the strong gold mineralization found on the surface of Titan. The second hole drilled at Titan, HENTTN19RAB-02, cut 6.09 meters averaging 72.81 grams per metric ton gold. This bonanza grade intercept was within a 32-meter-thick zone averaging 14.82 g/t gold, one of the strongest holes ever drilled in the White Gold District.

During the 2020 season, White Gold drilled 19 – nine RAB, one reverse circulation (RC), and nine diamond – holes at Titan.

The RC hole was drilled about eight meters away from HENTTN19RAB-02 to better quantify the grade and thickness of the high-grade gold zone. This RC hole, HENTTN20RC-001, cut 1.53 meters averaging 105 g/t gold from a depth of 12.19 meters. A diamond hole drilled in the same area, HENTTN20D-003, cut 1.5 meters averaging 37.4 g/t gold from a depth of 14 meters.

White Gold says the three holes show a very good correlation in terms of the extents of the magnetite zone and associated anomalous elements which include gold, copper, zinc, and tellurium. However, the RC and diamond drilling confirmed that the high-grade gold mineralization is restricted to a 1.5-meter interval at the base of the magnetite zone, and gold values in the remainder of the overlying zone are low-grade. This is in contrast to the 2019 RAB hole that indicated a broad zone of low-grade gold extending below the high-grade zone. The company says this discrepancy is a result of the nature of RAB drilling and the crumbly nature of the surficial magnetite.

All nine RAB holes at Hen encountered gold mineralization, with mineralized zones ranging from 0.2 to 3.29 g/t gold over widths of 1.5 to 9.1 meters.

The company says the source of magnetic highs on the Titan target are magnetite-rich zones with anomalous copper near the base of a mafic unit, and diamond drilling there has confirmed the potential for buried porphyry style alteration and mineralization.

The 2020 program at JP Ross, a property immediately east of Hen, focused on refining drill targets across a roughly 15- by 15-kilometer (100 square miles) area that encompasses the Vertigo discovery.

The 2018 discovery hole at Vertigo cut 3.1 meters of 56.25 g/t gold, part of a 10.67-meter intercept averaging 17.34 g/t gold.

Trenching at the Vertigo target identified a new mineralized zone grading 2.16 g/t Au over 21 meters including higher grade subzones of 5.69 g/t Au over 3 meters and 4.15 g/t Au over 5 meters, associated with a southeast trending gold-in-soil geochemistry anomaly which remains open along strike.

White Gold's systematic exploration has turned up numerous other targets within a regional scale structurally controlled mineralized system that include Sabotage, Stage Fright, and North Frenzy.

The company says three of six trenches dug at Frenzy last year encountered 0.14 to 0.57 g/t gold over widths of one to 10 meters. This includes 1.5 meters of 2.35 g/t gold within a broader 10-meter intercept averaging 0.53 g/t gold in trench JPRFRE20T009.

A single trench dug at Sabotage, JPRSAB20T030, cut two zones of anomalous gold mineralization – one meter of 0.99 g/t gold and two meters of 0.22 g/t gold.

In addition to trenching, White Gold drilled 13 RAB holes at five JP Ross targets – Stage Fright, North Frenzy, Sabotage, North Sabotage and Vertigo.

All four holes drilled at Stage Fright encountered gold zones ranging from 0.20 to 1.27 g/t gold over widths of 1.52 to 9.14 meters. This includes 6.1 meters of 0.75 g/t gold from surface in hole JPRSF20RAB-007, including 3.05 meters of 1.27 g/t gold.

Likewise, all four holes drilled at North Frenzy encountered gold zones ranging from 0.28 to 1.71 g/t gold over thickness from 1.52 to 9.14 meters. This includes 6.1 meters averaging 0.73 g/t gold from a depth of 15.24 meters, including 3.05 meters averaging 1.31 g/t gold.

Three holes drilled at Sabotage encountered gold mineralization with grades ranging from 0.55 to 3.1 g/t gold over widths of 1.52 to 3.05 meters. The best mineralization was intersected in hole JPRSAB20RAB-016, which cut 1.52 meters averaging 3.1 g/t gold over 1.52 from a depth of 10.67 meters.

Hole JPRNSAB20RAB-001 drilled at North Sabotage cut 3.05 meters averaging 0.20 g/t gold from a depth of 44.2 meters.

Hole JPRVER20RAB-026 drilled at the Vertigo cut 3.05 meters grading 1.82 g/t gold from a depth of 1.52 meters.

Some of the most exciting results from the 2020 program at JP Ross came from Notorious, a newly discovered target about 1,500 meters west of North Frenzy.

White Gold is encouraged by the results from initial rock GT Probe sampling in the Notorious discovery area.

The company says rock samples collected from a hand dug pit at Notorious has confirmed the presence of high-grade gold mineralization at this newly discovered target.

The two deepest samples collected from the pit returned the highest gold and silver values – 18.2 g/t gold and 33.6 g/t silver at 1.4 meters; and 4.38 g/t gold and 9.8 g/t silver at 1.5 meters.

GT Probe sampling at Notorious returned samples with up to 24.4 g/t gold and 45.7 g/t silver.

The Notorious samples also contained anomalous copper, arsenic, bismuth, tellurium, tungsten, molybdenum, and lead.

White Gold is planning to carry out additional GT Probe sampling, trenching, and RAB drilling at Notorious during the 2021 field season.

"We are pleased to have encountered further additional gold mineralization across multiple recently identified zones as well as confirmed the high-grade mineralization on the newly discovered Notorious target, providing further indication that the abundant gold mineralization is part of a robust regional scale structurally controlled system on the JP Ross property," said White Gold CEO David D'Onofrio. "This program has also provided valuable insight into the orientation and geometry of the mineralized systems, information that has been incorporated into our scientific and data driven methodology to define drill targets for the upcoming season. We look forward to releasing additional results from our 2020 exploration program and continuing to advance our projects in 2021."
