Victoria Gold Dublin Gulch Raven target expanded 2021 exploration program

The 2020 drill program at Raven tapped grades as high as 3.95 g/t gold over 19 meters at this emerging Dublin Gulch deposit.

Victoria Gold Corp. May 25 announced that an expanded 2021 exploration program that includes 15,000 meters of drilling focused on establishing a maiden resource at the Raven gold target is now underway at the company's Dublin Gulch property in the Yukon.

"Victoria is excited to begin the 2021 exploration program at Raven," said Victoria Gold President and CEO John McConnell.

Located about 13 kilometers (eight miles) east of Victoria's Eagle Mine, Raven is a large, near-surface gold target discovered with soil sampling and trenching in 2018.

Highlights from 7,500 meters of trenching at Raven include 124 meters of 3.51 grams per metric ton gold in TR18-33; 50 meters of 4.15 g/t gold in TR18-37; and 12 meters of 7.91 g/t gold in TR19-15.

Over the past three years, Victoria has completed roughly 9,600 meters of drilling at Raven in 43 holes, highlights include:

20.6 meters averaging 1.49 g/t gold in hole NG18-007C.

42.4 meters averaging 1.05 g/t gold in NG19-012C.

15.9 meters averaging 2.35 g/t gold in NG19-015C.

17 meters averaging 2.39 g/t gold in NG20-019C.

19 meters averaging 3.95 g/t gold in NG20-037C.

40.3 meters averaging 1.39 g/t gold in NG20-038C.

50.8 meters averaging 1.63 g/t gold in NG20-045C.

Victoria says the structural control of the high-grade gold mineralization encountered so far at Raven is evident over the entire strike length tested to date and has led company geologists to develop a mineralization model defined by these repeated high-grade veins contained within what is interpreted to be a dilatational fracture zone within the Nugget granodiorite intrusion that Raven is associated with.

Company geologists have identified multiple phases of mineralization at Raven, which further underscores the potential for Raven to host a meaningful gold deposit.

"The 2020 work at Raven proved consistent gold mineralization across the zone which extends well beyond the areas drill tested to date," said McConnell. "This season, we will build on that success with the aim of defining a meaningful maiden resource at Raven."

To accomplish this, the company has four diamond drill rigs testing projected extensions of gold mineralization that would more than double the current 750-meter strike length of Raven.

In addition to this fence-based drill program, geological crews are carrying out trenching, as well as additional detailed structural analysis and mapping in this expansion area.

Victoria was able to get off to an early start to the 2021 exploration at Raven due to favorable conditions, which prompted the company to expand the budget and scope of the program aimed at establishing a maiden resource at what is shaping up to be a significant high-grade gold deposit coming to the surface at Dublin Gulch.
