The 2021 drilling at the Raven prospect on Fury Gold's Committee Bay property has expanded gold mineralization both down dip and along strike.

Fury Gold Mines Ltd. Feb. 16 reported results from four holes drilled at Raven, an exploration target about 30 miles (50 kilometers) west of the Three Bluffs gold deposit on the company's Committee Bay project in Nunavut.

The 270,000-hectare (667,000 acres) Committee Bay property covers a gold enriched greenstone belt that extends for roughly 300 kilometers (180 miles) across Nunavut's Kitikmeot region.

Three Bluffs, the most advanced target at Committee Bay, lies at the center of this expansive and highly prospective greenstone belt.

According to the most recent calculation, this deposit hosts 2.1 million metric tons of indicated resource averaging 7.85 grams per metric ton (524,000 ounces) gold; and 2.9 million metric tons of inferred resource averaging 7.64 g/t (720,000 oz) gold.

The 2021 program at Committee Bay included expansion drilling at Three Bluffs and exploration drilling at Raven.

In December, Fury announced results from the drilling at Three Bluffs. This included hole 21TB-152, which cut three zones of high-grade gold mineralization below the current resource:

10 meters averaging 13.93 g/t gold from a depth of 370.5 meters.

Three meters averaging 18.67 g/t gold from 385.5 meters.

One meter averaging 23.2 g/t gold from 398.5 meters.

The latest batch of results is from five holes drilled at Raven, a prospect lying along an 8,000-meter-long shear zone where limited historical drilling cut 2.8 meters averaging 31.1 g/t gold and 7.6 meters averaging 9.49 g/t gold.

Highlights from the 2021 drilling at Raven include:

Eight meters averaging 0.88 g/t gold from a depth of 164 meters in hole 21RV-011.

1.5 meters averaging 9.18 g/t gold from a depth of 128.5 meters in hole 21RV-012.

One meter averaging 7.3 g/t gold from a depth of 190 meters in hole 21RV-012.

Fury says the 2021 drilling has extended gold mineralization for 160 meters down dip and 70 meters along strike from previous drilling at Raven.

"We are very pleased to announce recent drill results from the Raven prospect, as they confirm that the mineralization is open and has room to grow," said Fury Gold Mines CEO Tim Clark. "We have also identified high grades in new areas on surface, which warrant follow up, in addition to continued exploration along the identified shear zones seen at Raven."

"Committee Bay is a tremendous exploration opportunity for Fury, the results of this program including our recent expansion hole at Three Bluffs are the best we have seen in the past five years, and we feel there is considerable potential for world-class high-grade gold discoveries; 2022 plans at Committee Bay are currently being reviewed," he added.
