Rockhaven Resources Ltd. Mar. 7 announced additional assay results from the 2021 exploration program at its road-accessible Klaza property, located in the Dawson Range Gold Belt of southern Yukon.

Based on a 2020 preliminary economic assessment for Klaza, the project outlines plans for a mine that would produce roughly 750,000 ounces of gold and 13.8 million oz of silver over 12 years.

During the summer and fall of 2021, Rockhaven drilled a total of 14,256 meters in 72 holes. The latest batch of assays are from 23 holes that tested portions of the two main mineralized structures on the property – the Klaza and BRX zones – with the objective of upgrading and expanding the overall mineral resource.

"The 2021 drilling within or adjacent to Klaza mineral resources was very successful, both filling gaps within underexplored portions of the mineral resource areas and continuing with the objective to upgrade inferred to indicated mineral resources," said Rockhaven Resources CEO Matt Turner. "We were especially impressed by the results from the Central BRX zone, which has seen mostly shallow drilling along its 1.1-kilometer strike length and may play a key role in the next phase of resource expansion at Klaza."

Being flanked by the most significant mineralized zone identified to date on the property – Western BRX – the Central BRX zone has been traced for a strike length of 1,100 meters and currently comprises only a small percentage of the total mineral resources at Klaza. Due in part because it has received much less drilling than other zones in the deposit.

The latest results, however, suggest its potential to contribute to the growth of the overall resource.

Similar to Western BRX, the AEX zone – which parallels BRX zone 125 meters to the south – suggests it could also be important for growth of the mineral resources at Klaza.

Highlights from the latest results found at Central BRX include:

• 8.26 meters averaging 4.3 grams per metric ton gold and 77 g/t silver from hole KL-21-553.

• 1.31 meters averaging 13.5 g/t gold and 826 g/t silver from hole KL-21-548.

• 3.92 meters averaging 2.2 g/t gold and 106 g/t silver from hole KL-21-545.

• 1.05 meters averaging 4.5 g/t gold and 423 g/t silver from hole KL-21-550.

From Central Klaza:

• 4.87 meters averaging 7.6 g/t gold and 28 g/t silver, as well as 1.23 meters averaging 6.1 g/t gold and 258 g/t silver in hole KL-21-525.

• 2.35 meters averaging 10.7 g/t gold and 130 g/t silver in hole KL-21-530.

• 1.29 meters averaging 6 g/t gold and 218 g/t silver, as well as 3.03 meters averaging 4.8 g/t gold and 22 g/t silver in hole KL-21-535.

From Western Klaza:

• 0.74 meters averaging 23.7 g/t gold and 391 g/t silver, as well as 0.81 meters averaging 5.6 g/t gold and 446 g/t silver in hole KL-21-540.

• 1 meter averaging 2.1 g/t gold and 432 g/t silver in hole KL-21-537.

From Eastern Klaza:

• 1.85 meters averaging 8.6 g/t gold, as well as 1.05 meters averaging 3 g/t gold and 487 g/t silver in hole KL-21-556.

Finally, from AEX zone:

• 7.65 meters averaging 1.5 g/t gold in hole KL-21-553.

Of the 72 holes drilled last year, results from the first 39 holes were announced in December and February. Results from the remaining 10 holes will be released when assays are received, checked and compiled.
