Reaching nearly 4 million ounces of inferred gold, Banyan Gold has been steadily advancing its AurMac project in the Yukon.

Banyan Gold Corp. Nov. 7 reported that its systematic drilling at AurMac continues to extend the gold mineralized footprint of the Powerline and Aurex Hills deposits, including an 84.4-meter intercept averaging 1.13 grams per metric ton gold in the most northeasterly hole drilled so far at Powerline.

Located about 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Victoria Gold Corp.'s Eagle Gold Mine and adjacent to Hecla Mining Company's Keno Hill Silver District, AurMac hosts 3.99 million ounces of gold in the inferred resource category for its three deposits – Powerline, Airstrip, and Aurex Hill.

Banyan's 2022 drilling has been focused on expanding Powerline, which hosts 152 million metric tons of inferred resource averaging 0.59 grams per metric ton (2.9 million oz) gold, and Aurex Hill, which hosts 12.5 million metric tons of inferred resource averaging 0.53 g/t (215,000 oz) gold with the hope of potentially connecting these deposits.

"2022 drill results continue to expand the extent of near/on-surface gold mineralization at the Powerline and Aurex Hill deposits," said Banyan Gold President and CEO Tara Christie.

Highlights from this most recent batch of assays from 36 holes include:

56.6 meters averaging 0.46 g/t gold from a depth of 35.1 meters in hole DDH AX-22-283.

34.5 meters averaging 1 g/t gold from 67.1 meters in DDH AX-22-284.

19.2 meters averaging 1.24 g/t gold from 121.9 meters in DDH AX-22-284.

49.6 meters averaging 0.48 g/t gold from 28.1 meters in DDH AX-22-291.

30.9 meters averaging 1.27 g/t gold from 50.3 meters in DDH AX-22-293.

58.2 meters averaging 0.57 g/t gold from surface (9.1 meters) in DDH AX-22-299.

67.1 meters averaging 0.69 g/t gold from surface (16.8 meters) in DDH AX-22-301.

71 meters averaging 0.41 g/t gold from 48.7 meters in DDH AX-22-303.

48 meters averaging 0.47 g/t gold from 249.7 meters in DDH AX-22-310.

64.4 meters averaging 0.81 g/t gold from 53 meters in DDH AX-22-313.

84.4 meters averaging 1.13 g/t gold from 22.8 meters in DDH AX-22-320.

70.6 meters averaging 0.49 g/t gold from surface (5.4 meters) in DDH AX-22-337.

42.6 meters averaging 0.85 g/t gold from 117.1 meters in DDH AX-22-338.

71.5 meters averaging 0.92 g/t gold from 145.2 meters in DDH AX-22-339.

The company says these results are consistent with previous exploration drill results, and the footprint of the near-surface gold mineralization continues to be expanded with each batch of assay results received.

"Both deposits remain open, with impressive results from the furthest north-eastern hole drilled in Powerline (AX-22-320) which returned an impressive 1.13 g/t gold over 84.4 meters," said Christie. "The 2022 drilling programs have now been completed for the season – with over 50,000 meters of core drilled."

With another fruitful year of exploration under its belt, Banyan eagerly awaits the remaining assays from its 2022 drill program.
