Snowline Gold Corp. Nov. 15 announced that drills cut an incredible 128.2-meter intercept averaging 2.48 grams per metric ton gold from surface, within a wider 285.2-meter section averaging 1.45 g/t gold at its Rogue project in the Yukon.

Much like its V-22-010 hole that cut 318.8 meters of 2.55 g/t gold, which Snowline says changed its perception of the Valley zone, this latest step-out adds "significantly to the prospective scale and grade of our unfolding gold discovery at Valley," said Snowline Gold CEO Scott Berdahl.

As a relatively new junior, Snowline has shown it is quickly emerging as one of northern Canada's most active and enticing gold explorers.

Presently exploring seven prospective targets, Snowline's portfolio is split between Rogue, Einarson, Ursa, Cynthia, and Rainbow in the Selwyn Basin near Yukon's eastern border with Northwest Territories, along with the Tosh and Cliff projects closer to Yukon's western border with Alaska.

The latest results come from Rogue, an 11,227-hectare (27,743 acres) property comprising 442 mineral claims, all completely owned by Snowline. The main block covers a roughly 9-kilometer (5.6 miles) trend of metamorphic rock hornfels complemented by anomalous gold in rocks, soils, and stream sediment samples.

The company suspects there are two members of the Tombstone plutonic suite along this trend, which is responsible for the multi-million-ounce intrusion-related gold systems such as those found at Kinross Gold Corp.'s Fort Knox Mine in Alaska and Victoria Gold Corp.'s Eagle Mine in the Yukon.

The first target, Valley, is a newly discovered intrusive stock with sheeted gold-bearing quartz veins within the intrusion and visible gold found in sulfide veins in the surrounding hornfels.

The latest results from drilling at Valley include hole V-22-014, which cut 128.2 meters averaging 2.48 g/t gold from bedrock surface at 2.8 meters downhole within a broader zone of 1.45 g/t gold over 285.2 meters.

The hole was collared 160 meters from the previously announced V-22-007, which cut 410 meters from surface averaging 1.89 g/t gold along the length of the hole, and includes a 146-meter section averaging 3.24 g/t gold.

"The continuity of strong grades from Valley's central zone, seen both within holes along hundreds of metres and between holes spaced hundreds of metres apart, demonstrates the presence of a large and robust, unusually rich bulk tonnage gold system," said Berdahl. "Comparable quartz vein densities –often with numerous instances of trace visible gold – in many holes for which assays have yet to be received have the potential to carry similar grades."

Just shy of the Yukon-Northwest Territories border, Rogue is one of seven prospective targets that make up Snowline's portfolio.

Snowline says hole V-22-014 demonstrates lateral and vertical continuity of near-surface, multi-gram-per-metric-ton gold mineralization encountered by previous holes at Valley.

As with previous holes in this zone, V-22-014 exhibits a relatively high degree of consistency in gold grade.

"With analytical results pending for nearly 80% of our 2022 drilling, we expect further significant growth to this discovery in the coming weeks and months," finished Berdahl.

During the 2022 program, Snowline completed 13,320 meters drilled at Rogue, with 11,168 meters being focused on Valley in 27 holes and the balance of 2,152 meters drilled at the nearby Gracie target in five holes.

To date, results for eight holes have been received from Valley, with assays remaining for the other 19. Similarly, all hole results from Gracie are still pending.
