Ryan's Surprise keeps amazing White Gold

Assays extend mineralization within Trend; 2023 MRE expected North of 60 Mining News – February 24, 2023

White Gold Corp. Feb. 23 announced the latest batch of assays shows that the 2022 diamond drilling program on the Ryan's Surprise and Ulli's Ridge targets intersected multiple zones of gold mineralization between the untested region of both, suggesting a larger footprint within the 6.5-kilometer- (4 miles) long trend on the company's namesake White Gold District, Yukon.

Located roughly 95 kilometers (59 miles) south of Dawson City and practically next door to Western Copper and Gold Corp.'s Casino deposit and Newmont Corp.'s Coffee deposit, the White Gold property comprises roughly 350,000 hectares of highly prospective land, representing 40% of the district.

Exploring and advancing this area for the better part of a decade, its flagship Golden Saddle and Arc deposits have already been estimated to host 15.6 million metric tons of indicated resources averaging 2.28 grams per metric ton (1.14 million oz) gold; and 9 million metric tons of inferred resource averaging 1.39 g/t (402,100 oz) gold.

Situated about 2,000 meters west of Golden Saddle, the Ryan's Surprise discovery lies at the center of a roughly 6,500-meter-long gold mineralized trend running alongside the Yukon River that also encompasses Ulli's Ridge, Teachers Showing, Minneapolis Creek, and other prospects.

Forming a relatively small part of the company's fully funded $6 million exploration program, supported by strategic partners Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. and Kinross Gold Corp., White Gold was able to split its focus between the numerous high-priority targets the company continues to discover.

"We are very pleased to see the significant extension of mineralization at the Ryan's Surprise almost doubling its strike length as well as the discovery of gold mineralization at multiple other targets in first ever drilling along this underexplored trend which has now encountered gold mineralization over a length of 5.5 kilometers," said White Gold CEO David D'Onofrio. "The abundance of gold mineralization and its vicinity to our flagship gold deposits is very encouraging for the continued expansion of our significant gold resource in the area."

The 2022 diamond drilling program from Ryan's Surprise and Ulli's Ridge comprised nine holes totaling 2,658 meters which further tested three separate target areas with the following objectives: provide sufficient drill spacing to conduct an initial mineral resource estimate for Ryan's Surprise; drill the gap between Ryan's Surprise and Ulli's Ridge to identify possible continuation of mineralization to the south of Ryan's Surprise and determine if part of the same zone; and drill around newly discovered high-grade zone at Ulli's Ridge.

All the holes were widely spaced step-out holes, while maiden rotary air blast (RAB) drilling in the area intersected multiple zones of gold mineralization, which appear consistent in tenor with the zones at Ryan's Surprise. Significant results include:

11.45 meters averaging 1.43 g/t gold from a depth of 145.5 meters in hole WHTRS22D027.

2.35 meters averaging 6.01 g/t gold from 296.5 meters in WHTRS22D028.

The company also adds that hole WHTULR22D010 at Ulli's Ridge, testing a previously undrilled area collared in mineralization, intersected 16 meters averaging 1.49 g/t gold from 6 meters.

In addition, maiden RAB drilling at the Teacher target at the northern limit of the Ryan's Surprise trend intersected multiple zones of near-surface gold mineralization; highlights include:

6.1 meters averaging 3.4 g/t gold from 1.52 meters in WHTTTC22RAB003.

4.57 meters averaging 3.3 g/t gold from 24.38 meters in WHTTTC22RAB004.

"Overall 2022 was a very successful year in which we continued to demonstrate the growth potential of our flagship project, which ranks amongst the largest high grade gold deposits in the Yukon, and also expand our exciting new high grade Betty discovery, contiguous to Newmont's Coffee project and Western Copper and Gold's Casino project," finished D'Onofrio.

The company also said that following the success of the 2022 – and previous diamond drill programs – a maiden resource estimate at Ryan's Surprise zone is currently underway, with details to be announced in the coming months.
