Snowline drills over 500m of 1.2 g/t gold

One hole entirely mineralized from surface to depth of 539m North of 60 Mining News – October 6, 2023

Snowline Gold Corp. Oct. 5 announced the latest batch of assays that continues to confirm the robust continuity and grade of gold mineralization at the Valley target on its Rogue project in Yukon, Canada.

"The exceptional nature of our Rogue project's Valley target is highlighted by the observation that holes such as V-23-049 and V-23-050, with average grades of greater than one gram per metric ton gold from surface over hundreds of meters and greater than two g/t gold over broad downhole distances, are proving to be commonplace and very consistent across a large geographical footprint," said Snowline Gold CEO Scott Berdahl.

Snowline says these four holes, drilled into various parts of the Valley system, returned continuously mineralized intervals ranging from 82.5 meters averaging 1.52 g/t gold to 539.4 meters averaging 1.2 g/t gold in downhole length.

Initial drill results from various other targets and projects encountered anomalous gold mineralization.

Interesting intervals

Hole V-23-049 was collared within the Valley intrusion as a 71-meter step back along section and perpendicular to the dominant trend of mineralization from V-22-007, a 2022 hole that cut 410 meters averaging 1.89 g/t gold from surface.

The mineralized interval of 049 spans the entire hole, averaging 1.2 g/t gold over 539.4 meters downhole from bedrock surface at 6.3 meters, including a 151.5-meter downhole run from 142 meters averaging 2.41 g/t gold, with a 10.5-meter hotspot averaging 4.67 g/t gold from 201.5 meters.

The company says, as with previous holes at Valley, mineralization is remarkably consistent.

Showing robust continuity of grade extending northeast of and below 22-007, the drill trace cuts roughly halfway between those of 22-007 and 22-015, which returned 442 meters averaging 0.65 g/t gold, yet gold grades are higher than would be expected from a linear gradient between the two holes, demonstrating a larger volume of well-mineralized rock.

Hole V-23-050 was collared similarly within the Valley intrusion as a 66-meter step-out along strike to the northwest of V-22-029, which cut 558.7 meters averaging 1.26 g/t gold, and V-22-033, which cut 313 meters averaging 0.86 g/t gold.

The hole is reportedly mineralized from bedrock surface at 5.8 meters depth through 423.3 meters downhole and averaged 1.08 g/t gold.

This includes a 252-meter higher-grade subsection averaging 1.45 g/t gold from 93 meters, including 23 meters averaging 4.44 g/t gold, demonstrating the strength of mineralization on the still open northeastern boundary of the system tested to date. Further, additional intervals of lower-grade mineralization continue at depth within hole 050.

"Notably, V-23-050 returned such intervals from what was previously considered to be the northeastern edge of Valley's main near-surface mineralized zone, thus adding significant tonnage of known mineralized rock and demonstrating the open nature of the system in this direction," added Berdahl. "Even holes such as V-23-051, drilled at the southwestern edge of the Valley intrusion and into the surrounding hornfels, demonstrate a strong consistency of mineralization, with a result – again from surface – noteworthy in its own right."

While not as elaborated as 049 and 050, holes V-23-051 and V-23-052 consisted of mineralization that would ordinarily be exciting for other juniors if not for the robust results from most of its other holes.

From a near-surface of 18 meters, hole 051 cut a 233-meter interval averaging 1.52 g/t gold, while 052 cut 314 meters averaging 0.42 g/t gold from 21 meters.

"With our field program still active and the majority of our drill and surface results from 2023 still forthcoming, we look forward to rapid advancement of our target areas in the weeks and months ahead," finished the Snowline CEO.

Although initially targeting 10,000 meters, Snowline opted to expand its program due to the significance of its discoveries and results. To date, more than 15,000 meters have been drilled at Valley this year, with 36 holes completed and an additional larger diameter hole in progress for advanced metallurgical and rock property testing.

Assays remain pending for 19 holes.
