Drilling four holes totaling 1,165m, the program at Betty Ford comprised more than a fourth of the planned 2023 drilling.

White Gold Corp. Nov. 8 announced that its 2023 drilling significantly expanded the width of the near-surface Betty Ford gold target on the Betty property in Yukon, Canada.

Located roughly 65 kilometers (40 miles) southeast of White Gold's namesake flagship project, Betty is a promising property within the company's immense 350,000-hectare (864,869 acres) land package that covers approximately 40% of the White Gold District.

According to the most recent calculation, the White Gold property hosts 16.11 million metric tons of indicated resource averaging 2.23 grams per metric ton (1.15 million ounces) gold; and 18.99 million metric tons of inferred resource averaging 1.54 g/t (942,400 oz) gold across the Golden Saddle, Arc, Ryan's Surprise, and VG deposits.

Announced in mid-June, the company detailed a strategic 4,000-meter drill program aimed at prospecting the Betty Ford target at Betty, the Vertigo target at JP Ross, and the Cali target at the Nolan property, as well as first pass rotary air blast drilling on the Wolf and Toonie properties.

Comprising 860 quartz claims covering 17,127 hectares (42,322 acres), Betty hosts several prospective exploration targets, including Betty Ford, Mascot, Betty White, Betty Grable, and Betty Black.

This property is transected by the Coffee Creek Fault, which exerts important structural controls on Newmont's Coffee multi-million-ounce gold deposit 40 kilometers along strike to the west-northwest.

The 2023 program at Betty Ford included 1,165 meters of drilling in four holes designed to:

Evaluate a zone of near-surface high-grade gold mineralization encountered in BETFD21D003, a 2021 hole that cut 50 meters averaging 3.46 g/t gold, and BETFD22RC004, a 2022 hole that cut 18.29 meters averaging 8.94 g/t gold; as well as test for the presence of a buried porphyry and a possible feeder contact/structure for gold mineralization.

Highlights from the first two 2023 holes reported by White Gold in September include:

8.3 meters averaging 1.2 g/t gold from a depth of 166.7 meters in hole BETFD23D012.

53 meters averaging 3.38 g/t gold from 18 meters in BETFD23D013

The latest result is from hole BETFD23D014, which cut 46.5 meters averaging 2.96 g/t gold from a depth of 11.5 meters.

"These results have significantly expanded the width of the near surface gold zone at Betty Ford which remains open, and are once again amongst the highest-grade drill holes in the district and are in an area that has produced some of the most substantial deposits in the White Gold District," said White Gold CEO David D'Onofrio. "The 2023 drilling has also significantly improved our structural interpretation of the mineralization controls at this high-grade gold target to aid in future drill planning, and continues to demonstrate the expansiveness of gold mineralization in our underexplored district scale exploration portfolio in a tier 1 mining district."

Contango ORE is an Alaska gold exploration and mining company.

Results for the remaining Betty Ford hole are expected to be announced in the near future.
