Li-FT powered by initial Echo lithium

Target from second set of properties holds similar grades North of 60 Mining News - December 15, 2023

Li-FT Power Ltd. Dec. 12 announced the first assays from drilling at the "Further Afield Group" of pegmatite targets returned lithium grades very much in line with the values encountered at its primary "road-access" group of Yellowknife Lithium project claims some 50 kilometers (30 miles) to the west.

The company's 141,572-hectare (349,832 acres) is an assemblage of claim blocks that cover some of the most prospective lithium targets found within the Yellowknife Pegmatite Province that extends east from Northwest Territories' capital, Yellowknife.

Consisting of 11 properties divided into two groups – five in the Road Accessible Group immediately east of Yellowknife and a cluster of six in the Further Afield Group about 50 kilometers (30 miles) further east– Li-FT has been rolling out assays from these targets consistently for the past few months.

With more than half the holes drilled already reported for its 2023 drill program, this week's announcement included the first from its secondary target area, and the results have given Li-FT quite a surprise.

This first hole from the Further Afield Group, YLP-0107, cut 13 meters averaging 1.24% lithium oxide from a depth of 47 meters at the Echo pegmatite.

"The first drill results from our Echo target have been a positive surprise," said Li-FT Power CEO Francis MacDonald.

The Echo pegmatite complex, located in the Further Afield Group, is broadly north-of-northwest to northwest trending and ranges from a single dyke in the southeastern end to multiple dykes over a 400-meter-wide corridor in the northwest.

"Our model at the time indicated that the pegmatites were steeply dipping," said MacDonald. "What we discovered after drilling the first hole was that there are three separate pegmatite bodies that are shallowly dipping at depth."

Hole YLP-0107 intersected four pegmatite dykes measuring one to 16 meters thick, with the two uppermost dykes comprising a cumulative 24 meters of pegmatite over a total 51 meters of core.

The significant 1.24% Li2O came from the uppermost dyke, while grades from the deeper dykes returned around two meters averaging 0.76% Li2O.

"This geometry is very favorable for mining," said MacDonald. "We look forward to releasing additional drill results from Echo and to continue drill-testing this target in the upcoming drill program which is scheduled to start in January 2024."

In addition to the assays from Echo, Li-FT reported results from holes drilled at pegmatites within its Road-Accessible Group of claims. Highlights from this drilling include:

13 meters averaging 1.28% Li2O from a depth of 197 meters in hole YLP-0101 (BIG East).

13 meters averaging 1.27% Li2O from 49 meters in YLP-0098 (Ki).

11 meters averaging 1.38% Li2O from 52 meters in YLP-0094 (Shorty).

To date, Li-FT has reported results from 108 out of 198 diamond drill holes.
