StrikePoint Gold Inc. April 12 announced the latest results from surface channel sampling as well as reconnaissance grab samples collected during the 2021 exploration at its Willoughby gold-silver property, just east of Stewart, British Columbia.

Willoughby is an intrusion-related gold-silver project similar to Ascot Resources Ltd.'s Red Mountain Mine project about seven kilometers (four miles) to the west. Historical drilling on the property encountered high-grade gold and silver mineralization in two zones – North and Wilby.

Highlights from previous drilling at North include:

5.5 meters of 53.2 grams per metric ton gold and 211.1 g/t silver.

Three meters of 113.7 g/t gold and 121.8 g/t silver.

2.9 meters of 352.2 g/t gold, 194.6 g/t silver.

Highlights from previous drilling at Wilby include:

6.8 meters of 20.5 g/t gold and 42.8 g/t silver.

12 meters of 12.7 g/t gold and 59.4 g/t silver.

11.7 meters of 7.6 g/t gold and 1.4 g/t silver.

For the recent results, the goal of the channel sampling was to provide quality surface assay data over the surface expression of mineralized zones that could potentially be used for an NI 43-101 mineral resources estimate for the property and to refine diamond drill targeting for the 2022 field season.

Highlights of the remainder of the 2021 sampling at Willoughby include:

Seven meters of 4.74 g/t gold-equivalent, including three meters of 8.6 g/t gold-equivalent in channel at Edge Zone.

11 grab samples from North North (NN) zone averaging 4.28 g/t gold and 159.1 g/t silver, as well as 17.45 g/t gold and 576 g/t silver.

Six grab samples from Willow zone averaging 9.91 g/t gold and 151.4 g/t silver, including 49 g/t gold and 777 g/t silver.

"In addition to providing increased definition at the known gold-silver zones at Willoughby, surface sampling during 2021 at the NN area along strike from the North zone underground workings has extended total strike of the series of mineralized zones an additional 113 meters to the north on the Willoughby nunataq," said StrikePoint Gold CEO Shawn Khunkhun. "As well, the high-grade gold and silver values and multiple high-grade structures 100 meters south of our Willow zone are priority drilling targets for our 2022 drilling season. Of particular interest are the high silver assays from these areas."

These results include seven continuous series of channel samples from steep terrain at the Edge zone – the most recent addition to StrikePoint's target portfolio – collected by experienced climbing geologists and technicians using a hydraulic chisel, from well-exposed bedrock hosting disseminated to massive mineralization.

The samples cover approximately 40 meters of strike and 20 meters of vertical relief on steep exposure. This sampling suggests that the Edge zone true thickness ranges from three to eight meters. Coupled with drilling, this sampling suggests dimension of 16 by 48 meters starting at surface.
