Eskay Mining Corp. June 1 launched a 30,000-meter drill program at the company's Consolidated Eskay gold-silver project in Northern British Columbia.

"2022 brings the most aggressive drill campaign ever undertaken at the Consolidated Eskay VMS Project," said Quinton Hennigh, a technical advisor and director of Eskay Mining.

Covering a corridor of volcanogenic massive sulfide gold mineralization trending south from Skeena Resources Ltd.'s Eskay Creek gold-silver project, and lying between Seabridge Gold Corp.'s KSM project to the east and Garibaldi Resources Corp.'s Nickel Mountain project to the west, Eskay's property lies at the heart of some of the richest real estate in BC's Golden Triangle.

This year's drilling is starting off at TV-Jeff, where eight new drill targets have been identified along a 5,000-meter-long corridor encompassing the TV and Jeff precious metal-rich VMS deposits.

Highlights from the 2021 drilling at TV-Jeff include:

92.3 meters averaging 1.1 grams per metric ton gold and 124 g/t silver in hole TV21-54, including 44.4 meters averaging 1.5 g/t gold and 236 g/t silver.

40.7 meters averaging 2.6 g/t gold and 65.5 g/t silver in hole TV21-56, including 8.3 meters averaging 7.6 g/t gold and 201.6 g/t silver.

238.9 meters averaging 1.43 g/t gold and 73.6 g/t silver in hole TV21-67, including 11.9 meters averaging 117.3 meters averaging 2.39 g/t gold and 129.9 g/t silver.

3.9 meters averaging 17.56 g/t gold and 20.8 g/t silver in hole J21-57, including 1.9 meters averaging 33.86 g/t gold and 20.81 g/t silver.

26.4 meters averaging 1.91 g/t gold and 27.6 g/t silver in hole J21-64, including 4.9 meters averaging 4.94 g/t gold and 24.8 g/t silver.

8.5 meters averaging 7.9 g/t gold and 17.1 g/t silver in hole J21-77, including one meter averaging 59.7 g/t gold and 127 g/t silver.

Eskay has laid out a systematic drill program in which regularly spaced fences of diamond drill holes will be completed along the entire TV-Jeff corridor.

"The systematic 'fence' style drill campaign we will employ along the greater five km-long TV-Jeff corridor is expected to deliver new discoveries like those already drilled over the past two seasons at the Jeff and TV deposits," said Hennigh.

This systematic drilling will begin in areas of lower elevations and move upwards as the snow melts.

"The weather is cooperating quite nicely for an early start to the 2022 program," said Eskay Mining Vice President of Exploration John DeDecker. "The 2022 exploration program aims to test the entire TV-Jeff VMS system with a drill campaign that tests the entire 4.5 km trend from Jeff North to TV South."

This year's drilling will also test Scarlet Ridge, where strong indications of large-scale VMS mineralization were recognized late in the 2021 season; Excelsior, an area of strong soil anomalism occurring along the western limb of the Eskay anticline directly opposite of the TV-Jeff system situated along the eastern limb; and, time-permitting, C10-Vermillion, where high-grade VMS mineralization was discovered in surface sampling and diamond drilling last year.

"The past two years of geological and geophysical work has enabled us to generate several drill targets that have similar characteristic to areas of known Au (gold) and Ag (silver) mineralization and associated hydrothermal alteration," DeDecker added. "Eskay Mining has also added depth to our team by bringing on additional expertise in structural geology, geological mapping, VMS systems and logistics. I have full confidence that we have the team in place to make a world-class discovery."

Geology crews are prospecting, mapping, and sampling to evaluate critical new targets at Scarlet Ridge, Excelsior, and along the TV-Jeff mineralized corridor.

"Our exploration team is aggressively advancing work in areas such as Scarlet Ridge and Excelsior to deliver new drill targets to be tested later this season. In short, with our planned 30,000 meter drill program, we are going to test as many targets as possible this year. This will be an extremely exciting year for Eskay Mining," Hennigh concluded.
