Rockhaven Resources Ltd. Jan. 30 announced additional assay results from the 2022 exploration program at Klaza, including one 1.2-meter intercept averaging 43.2 grams per metric ton gold and 137 g/t silver.

The 2022 program utilized two diamond drill rigs that completed a total of 12,042 meters of drilling in 69 holes. Focusing on advancing Klaza toward an updated mineral resource estimate and prefeasibility study through definition and expansion drilling, the first batch of holes, which covered assays from the Central and Eastern BRX zone structure, was received just a few weeks earlier on Jan. 18.

Highlights from then include:

• 1.3 meters averaging 101.5 g/t gold and 1.7 g/t silver from a depth of 64 meters in hole KL-22-624.

• 13.29 meters averaging 2.18 g/t gold and 199 g/t silver from 193 meters in KL-22-579.

• 6.62 meters averaging 6.91 g/t gold and 37 g/t silver from 29 meters in KL-22-563.

• 1.11 meters averaging 18.85 g/t gold and 347 g/t silver from 93 meters in KL-22-576.

Assays from the latest announcement entail eight holes from within the Western BRX and Western Klaza zones.

"The Western BRX and Western Klaza zones could potentially be attractive as two of the centres for early mining in any development scenario at Klaza, due in part to their high-grade nature and excellent continuity along strike and down dip," said Rockhaven Resources President and CEO Matt Turner. "The infill drill holes completed this summer at these zones all intersected significant mineralization."

Highlights from the latest assays results include:

• 2.25 meters averaging 4.47 g/t gold and 77.4 g/t silver, as well as 0.58% lead and 1.42% zinc from 323.93 meters in hole KL-22-575 (Western Klaza).

• 4.2 meters averaging 7.4 g/t gold, 183 g/t silver, 1.57% lead, and 1.1% zinc from 236.6 meters in KL-22-580 (Western Klaza).

• 8.78 meters averaging 1.24 g/t gold, 24.2 g/t silver, 0.22% lead, 0.31% zinc from 168.1 in KL-22-581, and 3.66 meters averaging 2.39 g/t gold, 51 g/t silver, 0.5% lead, and 0.66% zinc from 173.24 meters (Western BRX).

• 10.58 meters averaging 1.11 g/t gold, 17 g/t silver, 0.21% lead, and 0.5% zinc from 405.29 meters in KL-22-582 (Western BRX).

• 3.67 meters averaging 1.08 g/t gold, 125.1 g/t silver, 1.24% lead, and 0.57% zinc from 423.72 meters in KL-22-589 (Western BRX).

• 0.73 meters averaging 11.45 g/t gold, 226 g/t silver, 2.16% lead, and 1.2% zinc from 348.9 meters in KL-22-591 (Western BRX).

• 1.2 meters averaging 43.2 g/t gold, 137 g/t silver, 1.62% lead, and 0.81% zinc from 248.3 meters in KL-22-593 (Western BRX).

"The strongest result came from the core of the Western BRX zone, with a high-grade gold intercept of 43 g/t gold and 137 g/t silver over 1.2 meters in hole KL-22-593," said Turner. "The Western Klaza zone, located 800 meters north of the Western BRX zone and within the same fault package, yielded high-grade hits which included 7.4 g/t gold and 183 g/t silver over 4.2 meters in hole KL-22-580.

The Western BRX and Western Klaza zones are emplaced within the same fault panel, approximately 800 meters apart, and represent the distal-most extent of their respective mineralized structures within the greater Klaza deposit.

Both are key contributors to the overall precious metal endowment at Klaza.

Within the Western BRX Zone, strongly mineralized epithermal veins are emplaced adjacent to a feldspar porphyry dyke that can be traced along the length of the zone.

Since its discovery in 2011, a total of nine excavator trenches and 85 diamond drill holes have traced mineralization over an approximate 500-meter strike length and from surface to a maximum depth of 520 meters down-dip. The mineralization remains open to extension at depth.

The Western Klaza zone hosts a single discrete vein that has been traced for 400 meters along strike and to a maximum depth of 340 meters down dip. A total of 8 excavator trenches and 49 diamond drill holes have targeted this structure.

Results are still pending for 39 drill holes and will be released once all assays have been received and compiled.
