Core Assets' 2023 program at Silver Lime is primarily focused on a newly defined trend of CRD silver-zinc-lead mineralization running from the Pete's target to the Gally Target.

Core Assets Corp. Sept. 12 announced that its 2023 drilling continues to extend zones of strong silver-zinc-lead mineralization at Silver Lime, a carbonated replacement deposit-porphyry project on the company's Blue property in Northern British Columbia.

Lying alongside the Alaska border in BC's Atlin Mining District, Blue is a 275,890-acre (111,650 hectares) land package covering high-grade skarn and carbonate replacement and porphyry prospects enriched with silver, zinc, lead, copper, and gold.

The two most advanced project areas on the Blue property are Laverdiere, a high-grade iron-copper-gold skarn target in the southeastern area of the land package, and Silver Lime, a CRD and porphyry prospect area about 15 kilometers (nine miles) to the west.

This year's program at Blue includes roughly 3,500 meters of oriented diamond drilling focused on extending zones of high-grade CRD mineralization at Silver Lime.

"The purpose of the 2023 drilling is to show how large and high-grade this system really is," said Core Assets CEO Nick Rodway.

An extensive first-pass exploration program carried out in 2021 defined a 3,700- by 1,800-meter area of high-grade CRD and skarn mineralization at Silver Lime within a broad 6.6-kilometer (4.1 miles) mineralized corridor of conductive anomalies that appear to be interconnected at depth by vertical conductive features.

During the 2022 season, Core Assets completed 5,355 meters of drilling in 15 holes testing the Jackie, Grizzly, and Sulphide City silver-zinc-lead-copper CRD targets at Silver Lime. The company's inaugural drilling at Silver Lime cut widespread skarn and chimney-style CRD feeders. Geophysical and mineralogical evidence indicates these zones are interconnected at depth and lead to a porphyry source.

Highlights from the 2022 drilling include:

1.25 meters averaging 215 grams per metric ton silver, 9.9% zinc, 8.9 % lead, and 0.36% copper in hole SLM22-001 (Jackie).

5.64 meters averaging 254 g/t silver, 4.8% zinc, 5.1% lead, 0.11% copper, and 0.12 g/t gold (Grizzly).

This year's program includes drilling at the Pete's, Gally, and Jackie targets along this trend.

In August, Core Assets reported results from drilling at Pete's, which lies on the northwest end of the targeted trend. Highlights from this initial batch of 2023 Silver Lime drill results include:

3.33 meters averaging 138 g/t silver, 7.3% zinc, 7.2% lead, and 0.54% copper from surface in hole SLM23-016.

2.12 meters averaging 260 g/t silver, 5.9% zinc, 5.2% lead, and 0.19% copper from a depth of 34.5 meters in hole SLM23-019.

4.2 meters averaging 111 g/t silver, 3.2% zinc, 2.8% lead, and 0.1% copper from a depth of 32.3 meters in hole SLM23-020.

6.4 meters averaging 159 g/t silver, 7.7% zinc, 8.7% lead, and 023% copper from a depth of 27.4 meters in hole SLM23-028.

"Our results prove that the substantial silver, lead, and zinc grades observed at surface continue along trend and with depth. Being able to achieve results such as these this early in our project is a huge success for our team," Rodway added. "We can't wait to begin drilling at the Gally CRD Target, which is one of our newest surficial discoveries and contains some of the highest-grade silver (>1,000g/t) sampled at the project to-date."

Core Assets also reports that drilling at the Jackie target at the southeast end of the trend has cut semi-massive to very massive sulfide CRD mineralization.

"We continue to demonstrate the extensive scale and grade of the CRD and skarn systems at the Silver Lime Project," said Rodway.

The assays from the holes drilled at Jackie are pending.

To further define CRD, skarn, and porphyry targets at Silver Lime, Core Assets has hired DIAS Geophysical to carry out a 3D distributed array induced polarization (3DIP) geophysical survey over an area of Silver Lime that covers the Pete's, Galley, and Sulphide City targets. Sulphide City appears to be the intrusion-related source of the CRD and skarn mineralization at Silver Lime.

"The mineralized Mo-Cu porphyry and associated alteration footprint encountered by the Sulphide City 2022 drilling program prompted us to carry out a high-resolution IP survey," said Rodway. "This survey will guide us in targeting this large system at depth and to better define the geometry of the CRD intersected this season."

CORRECTION 09-17-2023: The silver values for hole SLM23-016 were corrected to 138 g/t silver.
